OBJECTIVES
The objectives for which the Society is formed are:
a. To promote the acquisition and dissemination of knowledge and skills in emergency medicine and encourage research into all aspects of emergency care
b. To advocate for emergency care in Ghana so as to improve patient experience and outcome across the emergency healthcare system
c. Promotion of co-operation and collaboration among emergency health workers and all professionals dedicated to the development, and advancement of evidence-based emergency medical practice everywhere
d. To lobby on behalf of members of the Emergency Medicine Society of Ghana for the promotion of and maintenance of the profession
e. To co-operate with national, regional and international bodies with similar interests.
VISION:
To promote the acquisition and dissemination of knowledge and skills in Emergency Medicine among emergency health workers and associates to impact on the emergency care of people living in Ghana
MISSION:
. To collaborate with one another in learning and teaching the principles of Emergency Medicine
. To apply the principles acquired in the health care of patients
. To seek the welfare of members
CONSTITUTION
The current draft of the EMSOG constitution is being worked for final approval at the first Annual General Meeting.
