Welcome Message
On behalf of the Emergency Medicine Society of Ghana (EMSOG) and the Local Planning Committee, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 2nd EMSOG Conference, taking place from 27th to 29th November 2025 at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi.
Emergency medicine in Ghana continues to grow as an essential component of the nation’s health system — advancing through training, innovation, and collaboration. Over the years, EMSOG has remained at the forefront of efforts to strengthen emergency care delivery, foster multidisciplinary partnerships, and promote excellence in research, education, and practice.
This year’s conference, themed “Strengthening Emergency Care: Local Solutions, Global Impact,” brings together clinicians, nurses, pre-hospital providers, educators, researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders from across Ghana and beyond. The program features plenary lectures, scientific presentations, pre-conference workshops, exhibitions, and networking opportunities, all designed to inspire collaboration and innovation in emergency care.
Kumasi, the cultural heartbeat of Ghana, stands ready to welcome you with its warmth, hospitality, and rich Ashanti heritage. We encourage every participant to engage fully, share experiences, and build partnerships that will drive the next chapter of emergency medicine in Ghana and across Africa.
Together, let us make EMSOG 2025 a remarkable milestone in our shared journey toward resilient, high-quality emergency care systems.
Akwaaba!
Dr Daniel Osei-Kwame,
FGCS, Consultant Emergency Medicine Physician.
